Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

Shortly after the start made contact with OCEAN IMPACT when taken out by SMART CITY. A Atzeni stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so. A Atzeni was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 250 Metres.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the inside, 3 lengths or so back, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Trainer W K Mo advised that he had instructed H Bowman to take up a forward position, similar to when it performed well at its last start on 11 March 2026.

After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between ROMANTIC LAOS which shifted out slightly and FOREVER GLORIOUS which lay in despite the efforts of its rider.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide, 3 lengths or so back, wider turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start was steadied to avoid OCEAN IMPACT when OCEAN IMPACT was taken out. After the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of CAN’T GO WONG to continue into clear running. Between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres ENTHRALLED then had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began smartly from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

Blundered on jumping. Shortly after was then steadied when crowded between SHARPEN BRIGHT and ROMANTIC FANTASY which was taken out by SMART CITY which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Approaching the 400 Metres raced tight for a short distance to the inside of ENTHRALLED.

Away with them, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Near the 300 Metres NOBLE PURSUIT (J Moreira) shifted out to improve, resulting in CAN’T GO WONG being taken out slightly but then having to be checked to avoid FOREVER GLORIOUS when that runner commenced to give ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Moreira was entitled to shift out prior to the 300 Metres no action was taken. As a result CAN’T GO WONG was then badly held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres.

Commenced well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled well to turn, challenged the leader after turning in, hit the front 100M, kept on well to the line and scored. (Blood in trachea.)

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Apprentice P N Wong was warned in relation to using her whip on a horse that was out of contention.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.
