Shifted in on jumping and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader, 2 away from the stands' rail, commenced move after passing 400M, kept on evenly to the line.

Over the concluding stages lay out, resulting in its rider M L Yeung having to correct his mount approaching the winning post. Sent for sampling post-race.

Away well, raced prominently, 2 away from the stands' rail, hard ridden from 350M but only showed limited response, ran on evenly to the line.

Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between TURQUOISE VELOCITY and JUMBO TREASURE.

Began fairly, raced prominently on the stands' rail, challenged the leader after passing 400M, peaked on run approaching 150M, ran on evenly to take 2nd.

When being crossed by JUMBO TREASURE near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly, shifted out and made contact with MASTER OF ALL.

J Orman stated that his mount jumped only fairly and then blundered and as a result lost ground. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. J Orman was reprimanded for using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 100 Metres.

Near the 150 Metres could not be ridden out when racing in restricted room between QUANTUM LEGEND and CROSSBORDERPEGASUS which shifted in. K Teetan advised that from the outside barrier he had been instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.

Bumped on jumping, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the stands' rail, peaked near 400M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that after leading the event her mount did not respond to her riding in the Home Straight and, in her opinion, was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

On jumping was crowded when bumped by MY MARS which shifted in. Z Purton advised that the horse, which was having its first race start in the Hong Kong, would derive a fitness benefit from today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. C Y Ho reported that his mount hung out throughout the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SMART GOLF will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
