Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Approaching the first turn near the 1000 Metres was eased when crowded between SKY SONG and YOU’REMYEVERYTHING which lay in and away from KING GLORIOSO. Lay in in the Home Straight and near the 200 Metres shifted in and bumped GIMME FIVE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Near the 200 Metres was bumped by SWIFT ASCEND which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, headed near 700M, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on turn, finished off evenly.

Jumped only fairly. On the Home Turn was shifted to the outside of SMART FIGHTER to secure clear running and then raced tight between SMART FIGHTER and GIMME FIVE between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres.

Began well from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on rail early, dropped to midfield in the middle stages, saved ground throughout, kept on well early in straight, weakened final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began smartly, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, 3/4L back turning in, finished off well to score by a head.

Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Reared as stalls opened and started slowly, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide after entering the back straight, 4 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back to race at rear on the inside, moved a bit closer after passing 800M, 3 to 4 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 550M, very wide turning in, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

After the event, B Thompson stated that other than SKY SONG being back up in grade for tonight’s event, he could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of KING GLORIOSO to continue into clear running.

Began only fairly, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3 lengths or so back, commenced move 800M, took the lead near 700M, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Raced tight to the inside of LEAN MASTER near the 150 Metres and made contact with NEBRASKAN. After the event, H Bowman confirmed that his instructions were if his mount commenced well tonight to endeavour to obtain a forward position.

Taken back to race at rear on the outside, 5 lengths back, found rail near 550M, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

When giving ground near the 150 Metres was bumped by KING GLORIOSO. After the event, B Avdulla confirmed that his instructions were to take up a forward position. He added after obtaining the lead NEBRASKAN failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NEBRASKAN was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, NEBRASKAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
