After passing the 400 Metres was bumped by ONE MAN SHOW which shifted out.

Lifted front feet on jumping and away tardily, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run in straight, eased final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

After passing the 400 Metres endeavoured to shift out to improve and bumped with JUSTIFYING. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced 2 wide, a length or so back, same position on turn, hard ridden after passing 250M, took the lead 150M, kept on strongly to the line, won by 3 lengths.

After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on YEE CHEONG SPIRIT at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, YEE CHEONG SPIRIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Began smartly, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened gradually close home, just stayed on to take 2nd.
