Jumped only fairly. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of YOUNG CHAMPION. Near the 100 Metres shifted in towards YOUNG CHAMPION and then became unbalanced when being corrected by its rider H Bowman. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, 2 wide turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared 150M but made no progress thereafter.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Jumped only fairly. J Orman stated that after obtaining a position with cover behind VICTOR THE WINNER his mount raced keenly in the early stages. He said as a result near the 800 Metres he was obliged to shift to the outside of VICTOR THE WINNER to avoid that runner’s heels which resulted in MAGNIFIQUE racing wide and without cover thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion that MAGNIFIQUE had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly, raced 2 wide behind midfield, moved a bit closer after passing 900M, 4 wide turning in, made good progress in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.
