Bumped on jumping. Near the 350 Metres shifted out to improve and made contact with MISTER DAPPER. M F Poon was severely reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 250 Metres.

Jumped only fairly, positioned a length behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, hard ridden early in straight, checked near 200M, peaked 100M, weakened thereafter.

Jumped well from the widest draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, stayed on evenly to take a place.

Shortly after the start made contact with JUMBO LEGEND. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Bumped start, raced towards rear on the inside, 6 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Kicked a rail behind the barriers, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Near the 350 Metres made contact with KEEFY when KEEFY was shifted to the outside of HIGHLAND RAHY to improve.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 2-1/2L back turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

C Y Ho reported that after making contact with FALLON making the turn after the 600 Metres his mount did not run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide from 450M, wider turning in, made minor progress in the run home.

Average to begin, raced slightly behind midfield on the outside, 3-1/2L back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 100M, kept on very well to the line.

Bumped shortly after the start. H Bowman stated that his mount made a respiratory noise during the event and did not respond to his riding when asked for an effort from the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Began smartly from gate 11, raced prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, kept on well in straight to take 2nd.

D B McMonagle stated that from the outside barrier he was obliged to shift his mount behind runners in the early stages. He said with the early stages of the event being run outside of standard time, when the pace of the race increased from the 600 Metres, his mount found it difficult to make up ground from back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well, showed no early speed, raced at rear on the outside, 8 lengths or so back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
