Jumped only fairly, shifted out and shortly after the start was then steadied to avoid AKERMANIS GOLD which shifted in. Near the 100 Metres shifted in and made contact with JUMBO TREASURE when improving into a tight run to the inside of HAPPY INDEX.
Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping, raced at rear on the inside, moved a bit closer after passing 1000M, 2 wide from 700M, no daylight early in straight, cleared 200M, closed off strongly to score.

Began well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, wider on turn, hard ridden from 300M, took the lead 100M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 50M.

Bumped on jumping. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A Atzeni stated that his mount settled slightly further back in the field than intended. He added when asked for an effort in the Home Straight he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort, particularly as it was dropping back in distance from its previous race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Taken back from gate 13, raced towards rear on the outside, there to turn, made good progress in straight to make frame, nearest on line.

H Bowman stated that when his mount commenced well he was able to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts. He added after the 400 Metres he endeavoured to improve into a run between MASTER OF ALL and THE UNIQUE STAR which resulted in his mount making contact with MASTER OF ALL. He said after this NEW FUTURE FOLKS finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
Average to begin, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail approaching 700M, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.

L Hewitson stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer Y S Tsui confirmed the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages as at its most recent starts ANOTHER ZONDA had not finished its races off when ridden in a forward position. He added the connections also had expected good pace in the race.
