Began well, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 200M, ran on very well to the line.

Moderately away from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run in straight.

After getting its head up on jumping, then lost ground when crowded for room between ISLAND BUDDY and SO MY FOLKS which jumped awkwardly and shifted in. For a major part of the Home Straight failed to obtain clear running and passing the 100 Metres was eased when again disappointed for clear running between VOYAGE BOSS and PERIDOT which shifted out slightly under pressure. As a result INVICTUS DRAGON was unable to be tested over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 12, raced 3 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Had a tendency to over-race in the middle stages and after being steadied away from the heels of CONRAD PATCH which shifted out momentarily near the 600 Metres then continued to race wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
