Began well from gate 12, raced 3 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

After passing the 300 Metres was disappointed for clear running between NATURAL HIGH and GLACIATED before shifting back to the inside of NATURAL HIGH to obtain clear running passing the 200 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages, obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 200M, ran on very well to the line.

Began awkwardly, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run early in straight, cleared near 250M, finished off well to take 2nd.

Shifted out when negotiating the turn near the 700 Metres, making contact with the hindquarters of NATURAL HIGH. Sent for sampling post-race.

Rounding the turn near the 700 Metres got unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by MR COOL which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Moderately away from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run in straight.

Slow to begin and then a short distance later was checked when crowded for room between KING DANCE which shifted in slightly and SMILING CHAMPION which jumped awkwardly and shifted out after being taken out slightly by LUCKY XANDER. R Kingscote reported that the pre-race plans were to take up a forward position, however, was unable to do so after the incident at the start.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, very wide into straight, passed some tired runners in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 700 Metres was eased to avoid the heels of HINOKAMI KAGURA which also was eased to avoid the heels of HERBAL STAR which shifted in when laying in despite the efforts of its rider M Guyon. In all the circumstances no further action was taken. A Badel reported that his mount travelled well in the early stages, however, after suffering interference near the 700 Metres his mount failed to travel well after that. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
