Between the 350 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running when unable to improve between MONARCH COUNTY and TURIN CHAMPIONS. In this incident FIGHT TIME made contact with TURIN CHAMPIONS on a number of occasions near the 200 Metres.

Shifted in at start and made contact, raced in midfield, hard ridden after passing 400M but only showed limited response, weakened inside final furlong.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 800 Metres SUPER DRAGON shifted to the outside of DERRYNBLUE to establish a tight run between DERRYNBLUE and JOLLY BRILLIANT. Approaching the 600 Metres SUPER DRAGON then commenced to race keenly and shifted out and away from DERRYNBLUE, resulting in JOLLY BRILLIANT having to be checked when crowded between TURIN CHAMPIONS which maintained a tight line to the outside of JOLLY BRILLIANT and SUPER DRAGON which shifted out. J McDonald, rider of SUPER DRAGON, was advised to exercise more care. However, the Stewards found that the racing manners of SUPER DRAGON had contributed to the interference.

Jumped awkwardly, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the middle track, peaked 300M, weakened thereafter.

Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 800 Metres was checked to avoid GALLANT EPOCH (M Guyon) which shifted in when not clear. M Guyon was reprimanded. In assessing the incident the Stewards took into account the racing manners of GOLDEN LUCK which contributed to the interference. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Slightly slow out, raced towards rear, hard ridden after passing 250M, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin. (See Racing Incidents.)

K Teetan stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead 500M, peaked and headed 300M, weakened final 100M.

Jumped awkwardly. Near the 450 Metres was steadied when crowded between TURIN CHAMPIONS and FIGHT TIME (A Badel) which shifted out to improve. A Badel was severely reprimanded.

Moderately away, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the middle track, hard ridden from 400M but showed no response, weakened final furlong.
