Commenced well, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, there to turn, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began only fairly, raced in midfield on the inside, 5 lengths back, 2 wide from 550M, same margin back turning in, finished off strongly to take a place, nearest finish.

Average to begin, tracked leaders, 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back on turn, hard ridden from 350M, took the lead approaching 150M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 50M.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 400 Metres was shifted to the inside of E GLORY to continue into clear running.

Made contact at start, raced at tail, 9 lengths or so back on turn, very wide into straight, made no impression in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the 400 Metres until the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted out.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail approaching 800M, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 300M, finished off strongly to score.

Near the 170 Metres bounded over a mark on the track. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount travelled well during the race, however, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight failed to respond to his riding and recommended it may be better suited being ridden more patiently at its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide towards rear, 6 lengths or so back turning in, finished off evenly. (Roarer.)

Bumped on jumping and then shifted in. Near the 170 Metres was bumped by SUPER ELITE which shifted in. After the event, B Avdulla stated that after his mount had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres between BEAT HOLLOW and SUPER ELITE it then did not finish the race off thereafter and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept to inside after straightening and made good progress, not quite able to challenge.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance, Z Purton stated that with the pace of the event being run outside of standard time in the early stages, HO HO STAR raced keenly and got its head up. He said as a consequence when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount responded only fairly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear, found rail 1000M, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, made some progress thereafter.

Incident Report
Shortly after the start was taken out slightly by E GLORY and a short distance later then had to be steadied when crowded by SAME TO YOU which shifted in after making contact with BEAT HOLLOW.

Bumped shortly after start, raced better than midfield but trapped wide, moved closer after passing 1050M, 2nd in the middle stages, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount anticipated the start just prior to it being effected and as a result jumped awkwardly and lost ground. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of THE GOOD DEAL and it will be required to undertake a stalls test prior to being allowed to race again. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-3/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Incident Report
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the barriers and found to be lame in its right front leg. Was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Before being allowed to race again, MORE RICE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
