Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, moved closer after passing 850M, 2 lengths or so back turning in, finished off strongly to take 2nd, nearest finish.

Began well from gate 10, raced 3 wide behind midfield, sent forward after passing 850M, took the lead near 600M, led by 1/2L turning in, kept on well in straight to hold off the challengers.

Bumped heavily on jumping. After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between BULL ATTITUDE and VIVACIOUS WIN which was taken out by QUICK CONTRIBUTION. For a short distance near the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind SUPERB GUY. Near the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of SUPERB GUY.

Bumped shortly after start, raced towards rear of midfield, 2 wide, closer on turn, made some progress in straight without threatening.

On jumping was bumped heavily by CAN’T GO WONG which shifted out and shortly after was then crowded between CAN’T GO WONG and VIVACIOUS WIN which shifted in after making heavy contact with TAKE ACTION.

Shifted out shortly after start, 2nd in the early and middle stages, travelled keenly and lost position near 700M, raced slightly better than midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 100M.

Raced keenly in the middle stages. Z Purton could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. Trainer M Newnham stated that he expected the horse to hold a midfield position but due to the early and middle stages being run outside of standard time BULL ATTITUDE raced keenly and as a consequence found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Near the 300 Metres made contact with GENERAL REDWOOD when attempting to shift to the outside of STORMI to obtain clear running. J Orman reported that his mount travelled reasonably well during the early and middle stages but in the Home Straight did not respond to his riding and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, raced at rear, hard ridden approaching 550M, 5 to 6 lengths back at 400M, closed off well without threatening.

M Guyon stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said although the pace of the event was run outside of standard time throughout the middle stages he was content to allow the horse to remain racing wide and without cover as he felt this would provide the horse with the best opportunity to finish the race off. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a heart condition which required further assessment. <19/1/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> A further assessment of the heart condition did not reveal any significant findings.

Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance near the 800 Metres was steadied away from BULL ATTITUDE. C Y Ho advised that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to ensure it ran out the 1650 Metres of tonight’s race. Trainer K L Man confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as UP WITH CHARM did not finish the race off when it led at its last race start on 17 December 2025. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
