Began well, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, no clear run early in straight, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened 200M, eased final 100M.

Approaching the 400 Metres was held up behind FOREVER GLORIOUS before being shifted to that runner’s outside to obtain clear running and in doing so made contact with PACKING HURRICANE.

Jumped well from gate 9, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead 400M, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually close home.

Jumped only fairly. Between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running and leaving the 150 Metres was shifted out to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, nearest on line.

Slow to begin. Near the 200 Metres was steadied to avoid VIVA TASTE when improving between VIVA TASTE and DOUBLE WIN. For some distance approaching the 100 Metres then had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Began only fairly and bumped, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed good response early in straight, peaked on run 100M, weakened gradually close home.

M Guyon stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result found it difficult to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with SUPREME MASTERMIND. Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced when being checked to avoid VOLCANIC SPARK. K C Leung reported that his instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2 lengths or so back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Z Purton stated that in the Home Straight his mount lacked concentration and proved difficult to ride out when reluctant to shift to the outside of CHAIN OF GOLD near the 400 Metres and SHARPEN BRIGHT near the 200 Metres which he attributed to the hood being removed for today’s event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide better than midfield early, found rail 900M, 2 wide from 500M, showed good response in straight, hit the front 100M, kept on well to hold off the challengers. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly. J Orman expressed concern with his mount’s action in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CHAIN OF GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
