Slowly away, raced at tail, 8 lengths back, same margin back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Incident Report
Was obliged to race wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that from a wide barrier he had instructed M Guyon to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the wide barrier. Noted to have multiple lacerations to the right hind leg after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, travelled keenly in the early stages, found rail near 700M, saved ground on turn, made some progress in straight, no threat to the first few.

When the pace steadied approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid WINNING DATA. L Hewitson reported that in the Home Straight his mount hung in and proved difficult to ride out to the finish. Sent for sampling post-race.

When the pace steadied approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid SHINKANSEN. Near the 750 Metres was steadied when crowded between QUANTUM PATCH and SHINKANSEN which shifted out when being steadied away from WINNING DATA.

Bumped start, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 450M, 3 lengths or so back turning in, finished off very strongly to score.

When the pace steadied approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid GOOD GOOD. Held up on the Home Turn. Leaving the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of SHANGHAI STYLE in an endeavour to obtain clear running but then had some difficulty obtaining clear running between SHANGHAI STYLE and WORLD HERO near the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Bumped at the start. Briefly held up on the Home Turn.

Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed no response early in straight, eased final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped on jumping. When the pace steadied approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid SHANGHAI STYLE. Near the 700 Metres was steadied when crowded between SHINKANSEN and SHANGHAI STYLE.

Began well, raced 3 wide behind midfield early, 2 wide from 700M, angled out 400M, very wide turning in, made very good progress in straight to be nearest on line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped start, raced 2 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, showed limited response early in straight, blocked near 100M, eased thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped on jumping. When questioned Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position and obtain cover if possible. He said after complying with his instructions in the early stages to hold an on-pace position RAGGA BOMB then improved to the lead leaving the 1400 Metres. He stated when WORLD HERO improved to his outside he was content to allow that runner to cross but when RAGGA BOMB raced a little keenly this resulted in the horse holding the lead. He added entering the Back Straight he applied further restraint to his mount to reduce the pace of the event, however, in retrospect he agreed with the Stewards that he had steadied the pace too quickly which resulted in a number of runners positioned behind him sustaining interference. Apprentice Wong was advised that in similar circumstances he must ensure that when he attempts to reduce the pace of a race he must not do so too quickly to avoid causing interference to other runners. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Fast into stride, sent forward to take the lead, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 75M, ran on evenly to take 2nd.

Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with SHANGHAI STYLE. When the pace steadied approaching the 800 Metres was checked to avoid QUICK CONTRIBUTION. Between the 250 Metres and the 50 Metres was held up for clear running.

Jumped with them, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, 3/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Jumped awkwardly, raced 2 wide better than midfield, carried out 450M, very wide turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide at rear, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress early in straight, blocked approaching 150M, cleared 100M, finished off well to take a place.
