In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. In the Home Straight lay in and near the 100 Metres rider R Kingscote dropped his right rein. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer C S Shum stated that he had instructed Jockey R Kingscote to settle the horse where comfortable and endeavour to make a wide run in the Home Straight. He said after settling in a midfield position the horse was advantaged by being able to improve to the inside away from other horses and this was the only explanation he could offer for its improved performance tonight. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced in 2nd, 3/4L back, pressed leader on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened thereafter.

In the Home Straight lay in and made contact with KING OBERON on a number of occasions after the 200 Metres as KING OBERON endeavoured to obtain clear running. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Began well from a wide draw, raced 2 wide in midfield, moved closer after passing 750M, 3 wide turning in, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, peaked and headed 50M, ran on evenly.

On jumping shifted in and became unbalanced when it made contact with BITS SUPERSTAR. Over the final 200 Metres was held up for clear running between BITS SUPERSTAR and SUPERB BOY and made contact with SUPERB BOY on a number of occasions when endeavouring to obtain clear running.

Jumped with them, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.
