Bumped on jumping. Near the 100 Metres was crowded for room between CHATEAUNEUF and YOUTHFUL SPIRITS which shifted in and away from COLOURFUL KING when giving ground. The Stewards were satisfied that L Hewitson, rider of YOUTHFUL SPIRITS, had endeavoured to correct his mount when it commenced to shift in. J McDonald stated that with his mount dropping back to 1000 Metres it did not travel well due to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. He added that, in his view, MAGIC CONTROL may be better suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away well, taken back to race behind midfield on the middle track, hard ridden from 350M but only showed limited response, weakened final 150M.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it made contact with BABY CRYSTAL. Near the 50 Metres was crowded between KAHOLO ANGEL and YOUTHFUL SPIRITS which, after making contact with MAGIC CONTROL, then shifted out when giving ground.

Made contact at start, raced prominently, peaked 300M, weakened final furlong.

Moderately away from gate 14, raced in midfield on the stands' rail, hard ridden approaching 300M, kept on evenly to the line.
