Bumped on the hindquarters at the start, raced better than midfield on the outside, steadied near 1050M, positioned 2 wide, 2-1/2L back in the middle stages, carried wider 450M, kept on well until final 50M, ran on evenly to the line.

A Badel was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference leaving the 900 Metres (see FRANCIS MEYNELL). <1/12/2025 Appeal – Jockey Alexis Badel>Jockey Alexis Badel has lodged a notice of appeal against the severity of the penalties imposed by the Racing Stewards on 26 November 2025 for the charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)].The Stewards of the Jockey Club have granted a suspension of the penalties imposed on Jockey Badel pending determination of his appeal. <15/12/2025 Withdrawal of Appeal – Jockey Alexis Badel> Jockey Alexis Badel has submitted an application to withdraw his appeal against the severity of the penalties imposed by the Racing Stewards on 26 November 2025 to suspend him from riding in races for two charges of careless riding [Rule 100 (1)] when he rode GLORY CLOUD in Race 1 and TACTICAL COMMAND in Race 3 that evening. The Appeal Panel has approved Jockey Badel’s application and he will serve the original suspensions imposed by the Racing Stewards on 26 November 2025. He will be suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday 17 December 2025 and to expire on Sunday 21 December 2025 (2 Hong Kong racedays), and for another period to commence on Tuesday 23 December 2025 and to expire on Sunday 28 December 2025 (2 Hong Kong racedays).

Began smartly from gate 1, raced prominently on the inside, allowed rival to cross near 500M, sat right behind the leader turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Jumped only fairly. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres was steadied away from GOLDEN LUCK when racing tight to the inside of NEVER SETTLE. Near the 250 Metres was steadied to avoid SOMELOVEFROMABOVE which was taken in slightly by FUN ELITE (Apprentice E C W Wong). Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. BITS SUPERSTAR was then shifted to the outside of SOMELOVEFROMABOVE to obtain clear running and near the 100 Metres was steadied to avoid FUN ELITE as that runner commenced to give ground. As a result BITS SUPERSTAR was shifted back to the inside of FUN ELITE where it obtained clear running after the 100 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced at rear on the inside, 2 wide from 500M, wider turning in, made some headway in straight.

Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to lead which resulted in it not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FUN ELITE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Moderately away from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, commenced move approaching 500M, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with FRANCIS MEYNELL. Shortly after DASHING MAURISON was steadied when FRANCIS MEYNELL shifted out due to the contact.

Began only fairly, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Bumped on jumping. Raced wide and without cover from the 600 Metres. H Doyle advised that in the early stages her mount raced keenly when positioned tight to the inside of FRANCIS MEYNELL and as a consequence lost ground near the 950 Metres. She added that CONSPIRATOR continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages.

Bumped start, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on rail, difficult to settle early, 2Ls or so back in the middle stages, angled out 450M, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M. (Lame left hind leg.)

Shifted in at the start and made contact with TACTICAL COMMAND. A Badel (TACTICAL COMMAND) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that leaving the 900 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of FRANCIS MEYNELL, resulting in FRANCIS MEYNELL having to be checked to avoid TACTICAL COMMAND. A Badel was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Tuesday, 23 December 2025 and to expire on Sunday, 28 December 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. K Teetan reported that after his mount was bumped at the start he did not push it along in the early stages as the horse has a known respiratory condition. He said as a result FRANCIS MEYNELL settled back in the field.
