On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters. Apprentice E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the 100 Metres (see KOLACHI). Raced wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from a wide draw, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield early, commenced move 500M, very wide turning in, made very good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration if there were grounds for a protest/objection against RAGGA BOMB being declared second placegetter due to interference approaching the 100 Metres. Having regard to the margin of a length and a half between the two horses at the finish of the event the Stewards declined to lodge a protest/objection and declared weighed-in on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Apprentice E C W Wong (RAGGA BOMB) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of KOLACHI, resulting in KOLACHI having to be checked. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 10 December 2025 and to expire on Monday, 15 December 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

Began well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, wider turning in, finished off strongly, led close home.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. M F Poon pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference over the concluding stages (see HAPPY BUDDIES). Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.

Began only fairly from gate 1, showed no early speed, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, no clear run 200M to 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was crowded between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and HAPPY BUDDIES which shifted out.

Jumped well, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Bumped shortly after the start. Approaching the 350 Metres CALIFORNIA MOXIE, which was held up behind COLOURFUL KNIGHT, then improved to the inside of COLOURFUL KNIGHT when that runner shifted out slightly and commenced to give ground. When COLOURFUL KNIGHT was corrected by its rider, CALIFORNIA MOXIE was checked when disappointed for clear running and as a result shifted in, crowding ABSOLUTE AWAKENED which was also checked. The Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Bowman had not attempted to improve into a position where there was not sufficient room and that CALIFORNIA MOXIE had improved to the inside of COLOURFUL KNIGHT due to that runner giving ground. No action was taken.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race in 2nd, 3 wide in the early stages, 2 wide from 800M, a length back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of RAGGA BOMB and as a result lost ground. ABSOLUTE AWAKENED was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 350 Metres was crowded by CALIFORNIA MOXIE and was checked.

Jumped with them, made contact shortly after start, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, one-paced in the run home.

Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and hung out in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Made contact shortly after start, raced behind midfield on the outside, travelled keenly in the early stages, 6 lengths back on turn, made no impression in straight.

Raced keenly in the early stages and for some distance after the 1200 Metres was steadied away from EXCEL WONGCHOY. M F Poon (METAL KING) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of HAPPY BUDDIES, resulting in HAPPY BUDDIES having to be checked. M F Poon was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record.

Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Shortly after the start was crowded by COLOURFUL KNIGHT which shifted out. Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 900 Metres shifted out to avoid the heels of CALIFORNIA MOXIE.

Taken back from gate 9, raced 2 wide towards rear, a bit closer on turn, made no progress in straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, EXCEL WONGCHOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
