Taken back from gate 12, raced at tail, 9 lengths or so back in the middle stages, commenced move 400M, 6 lengths back turning in, taken wide in straight and finished off strongly to make frame, nearest finish.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, same position on turn, kept on well until approaching final 50M, weakened thereafter.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. M L Yeung reported that over the concluding stages he was unable to fully test his mount when racing tight to the inside of LUCKY BLESSING.

Taken back to race behind midfield on the outside, commenced move approaching 400M, 5 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Jumped only fairly and then bumped with PERFECTO MOMENTS which shifted out. L Ferraris stated that after enjoying a good run during the race HANDSOME BOMB was disappointing in that it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He added that when he felt there may be something amiss with the horse he did not fully ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME BOMB will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Moderately away from a wide draw, unable to slot in, trapped wide with no cover, 2 lengths or so back, dropped towards rear after passing 550M, emptied early in straight, eased thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Y L Chung stated that he was instructed to settle his mount where comfortable. He said after his mount commenced well he held an on-pace position in the early stages but when unable to cross runners to his inside HANDSOME BLOND was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and hung out during the race. He further stated that as a consequence HANDSOME BLOND was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HANDSOME BLOND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME BLOND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
