Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Making the Home Turn was held up behind GOLDEN EMPIRE and when racing tight to the inside of DANCING CLASSICS.

Apprentice P N Wong stated that her mount was able to lead the race comfortably. She further stated that after entering the Home Straight LUCKY PLANET failed to change its lead leg and came under pressure thereafter before giving ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The tongue tie was refitted on arrival at the Start. Near the 900 Metres made contact with GOLDEN EMPIRE when both runners contested a position behind SYMBOL OF STRENGTH. Near the 600 Metres was steadied when crowded between GOLDEN EMPIRE and HAYDAY (K Teetan) which shifted in. K Teetan was reprimanded. In assessing the incident the Stewards were mindful that GOLDEN EMPIRE and DANCING CLASSICS had been racing tight for some distance before the interference occurred. D Probert reported that after his mount made contact with GOLDEN EMPIRE near the 900 Metres and was then steadied when crowded near the 600 Metres it did not run on when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
