Away with them, raced better than midfield but trapped wide early, slightly taken back after passing 800M, positioned 2 wide in midfield on turn, angled out 350M, finished off strongly to take a place, nearest on line.

On jumping was crowded between MATSU VICTOR and THE AZURE which shifted out. Near the 550 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by FANTASTIC FUN which shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bowman.

Bumped shortly after the start. K Teetan reported that he was given the option of holding a more forward position and when his mount jumped well he elected to capitalise on the good start to hold an on-pace position.

Began well, raced prominently, 2 wide, took the lead 250M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 75M.

Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. Held up making the Home Turn. Approaching the 150 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the inside of STERLING WONGCHOY.

Jumped well, took the early lead, headed 900M, 2nd in the middle stages, shared lead on turn, peaked and headed 250M, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. From the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of THE AZURE. Near the 50 Metres MATSU VICTOR was then checked when crowded between THE AZURE and OUR LUCKY GLORY (A Badel) which shifted out before being corrected by its rider. A Badel was severely reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he must ensure there is sufficient racing room for him to improve into. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted out abruptly at start, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead near 900M, shared lead with rival on turn, weakened early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start shifted out and bumped AMAZING AWARD. R Kingscote reported that his mount travelled comfortably outside the leader SAMARKAND but did not respond strongly to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shortly after the start was crowded between SETANTA and FANTASTIC FUN which shifted in slightly. H Bentley reported that the instructions were to hold a more forward position but not to make use of the horse early as it has a tendency to race keenly. He said when unable to hold a more forward position he elected to come back and settle towards the back of the field so that his mount was not obliged to cover additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
