As a champion sprinter afterwards, he was sold and starts his stud duties at Darley Stud Farm. As a son of great DANEHILL, he catches the eyes of breeders with 223 black type winners and his representative are worldwide; HELMET, REWARD FOR EFFORT, BIVOUAC and Golden Slipper champion filly OVERREACH in Southern Hemisphere; EXCELEBRATION in Europe. EXCEED AND EXCEL is also popular in HK, AMBER SKY and MR STUNNING are two G1 sprinters. In March 2024, EXCEED AND EXCEL retired from stud duties. WATCH LEGEND was formerly known as ANARCHIST that owned by James Harron Bloodstock and trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott in Australia with 1 win in 3 starts. After winning two out of three barrier trials, he made its 2YO debut in the 1000M listed Lonhro Plate where finishing last in a field of 11. He returned as a 3YO at Kembla Grange, finishing 4th out of 5 runners in a 1000M maiden race and broke his maiden in a 1280M race by leading all the way with blinkers at Muswellbrook. Subsequently, the previous owner put him up for online auction where he was sold for AUD$ 85,000. His dam MDEIA SENSATION was a winner of New Zealand 1000 Guineas. Despite his excellent pedigree, the horse's performance did not meet stallion standards, leading the previous owner to sell at a loss. The bay gelding should be a speedy sprinter and ran on well on good going.
