HELLBENT was trained by Kurt Goldman at the beginning and transferred to Darren Weir’s yard with a record of 7 wins, 2 seconds and 5 thirds in 23 starts, winning distance from 1000M to 1200M. He took part in William Reid Stakes for the first time in 2017 and just fail to SILENT SEDITION with Damian Lane on board, then he bounced back in 2018 with Craig Williams to reject THRONUM and CATCHY to land his sole G1 success and he joined the stallion roster right after that. The son of I AM INVINCIBLE stationed at Yarraman Park since 2018 with 11 black type contests winner including G1 winner MAGIC TIME, BENEDETTA and The BMW Hong Kong Derby 2026 hero INVINCIBLE IBIS. His service fee in 2026 is AUD$ 55,000. GRAND PATCH was purchased by Mr. Yeung Kin Man, owner of GALAXY PATCH at NZD$ 150,000 in 2024 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M breeze up in 10.33s. He was trained by Shane Crawford in New Zealand and took part in 4 barrier trials where he was slightly slow out and ran on for 2nd in a 950M synthetic trial (15th Apr 2025), he missed the break and ran on for 3rd along mid track in an 1100M section (29th Apr 2025) on heavy ground. On his 3rd trial over 800M (11th Sept 2025), he was slightly slow out and ran on for 5th when asked late on heavy ground, then soon to lead after the break and kept on well to win an 1100M section (23rd Sept 2025) on heavy ground. His dam CHAMPALOU has had 7 winning foals which ran on well in sprint events and former Australian Horse of the Year PRIDE OF JENNI is dam family member. Being a son of HELLBENT, the bay gelding should be fine to handle 1400M to 1600M.
