HEADWATER, the Vinery Stud Syndicate’s runner, was trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes with a record of 3 wins and 1 third in 11 starts including G2 Silver Slipper with Blake Shinn on board, and placed 5th in G1 Golden Slipper with Glen Boss taking the rein. He performed ordinary at 3YO and won a listed contest only. The son of EXCEED AND EXCEL and RIVER DOVE, winner of Oakleigh Plate, retired as a welcomed stud that stationed at Vinery Stud with 9 black type winners. His service fee in 2025 is AUD$ 6,600. SIGHT HERMOSO was purchased by John Foote Bloodstock at AUD$ 100,000 as a yearling that owned by Price Bloodstock Management Ltd and under Allan & Jason Williams' yard in Australia where took part in 6 jump outs and 3 barrier trials. He settled midfield outside the crowd and had a wide turn to run on for 8th in an 800M trial (26th Aug 2024) on soft going, sat handy and kept on one-paced for 3rd in a 1000M section (16th Sept 2024) on soft going, then sat on-pace early and hit the front at one stage but headed late for 2nd in a 1000M trial (29th Jan 2025) on good going. His dam ROSE QUEEN won at 1850M and three half-brothers and sisters that all sired by RED DAZZLER won from 1350M to 2450M. The brown gelding should be fine to handle mile in future.
