DEEP FIELD, the son of NORTHERN METEOR, was trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes with a record of 5 wins, 1 second and 1 third in 8 starts while he got first five wins in a row until placing 3rd in G1 Lightning Stakes. Although he is only a G2 winner, he is welcomed by the breeders since his sire passed away and he is known as precocious with great speed. 40 runners of him won the black type contests including 2021 Hong Kong Sprint winner SKY FIELD, two times South African G1 winner AL MUTHANA, G1 Oakleigh Plate champion PORTLAND SKY and Hong Kong's second Triple Crown winner VOYAGE BUBBLE. Newgate Farm had announced that DEEP FIELD has been retired from stallion in 2023. ABSOLUTE LUCKY was trained by Tony Gollan in Australia and finished 2nd in a 1000M trial (19th Dec 2023) by racing on-pace. Grand dam DANENDRI and family member, Bart Cummings trained FAINT PERFUME are both 2-time G1 winners. The bay gelding has undergone throat surgery to correct an airway abnormality (tie-forward) in February 2025. He should be able to handle up to mile and fine on both turf and dirt.
