Clean jump, positioned 2 wide slightly behind midfield, commenced move 500M, 3 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to take 2nd, nearest on line.

Began well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, peaked on run 550M, dropped towards rear after passing 450M, emptied early in straight, eased final 100M.

Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind ATOMIC BEAUTY. On straightening AMAZING GAZE was shifted to the inside of ATOMIC BEAUTY and STURDY RUBY to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, a bit closer on turn, 2 wide from 350M, took the lead early in straight, kept on strongly to the line and scored.

Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. H Bowman was reprimanded for using the whip on consecutive occasions in 3 consecutive strides after the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on outer, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made no impression in straight.

Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid ATOMIC BEAUTY when racing keenly. A short distance later ATOMIC BEAUTY then shifted out, resulting in SMILING EMPEROR racing wide and without cover thereafter.

Taken back from gate 11, raced at rear on the inside, 7 lengths back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 200 Metres attempted to obtain a narrow run between SMILING EMPEROR and QUANTUM PATCH where there was not quite sufficient room. When SMILING EMPEROR then shifted out approaching the 150 Metres TAKE ACTION was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SMILING EMPEROR and QUANTUM PATCH. As a consequence TAKE ACTION could not be ridden out over the final 200 Metres.

Moderately away, raced in midfield on the outside, very wide into straight, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Slightly slow out and crowded, raced behind midfield on the inside, unable to maintain position from 550M, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, eased early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.) (Irregular heart rhythm.)

After the event C L Chau reported that his instructions were to endeavour to find cover. He said in the early stages he attempted to obtain a trailing position behind QUANTUM PATCH but when OUR LUCKY GLORY held its position to his inside he was unable to do so and this resulted in STORMI racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Jumped only fairly and made contact with the left side of its starting gate, raced towards rear on the outside, 5 lengths or so back turning in, finished off well to make frame.

After the event D Probert advised that with his mount stepping up in distance tonight he was asked to take up a forward position. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground throughout, showed limited response in straight, no clear run final 75M.

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between AMAZING GAZE and QUANTUM PATCH, both of which shifted ground. After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight which he attributed to the early stages of the race being run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the event A Atzeni could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed early in straight, stayed on evenly to take 3rd.
