Crowded start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail near 850M, moved a bit closer along the rail on turn, kept on well in straight to make frame, always held.

Began awkwardly, raced 3 wide with cover at rear, difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home. (A small laceration to the right front leg.)

Over the final 100 Metres lay in and away from NORTHERN BEAST and as a consequence proved difficult to ride out to the finish of the event.

Bumped shortly after start and unbalanced, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on rail, slightly improved along the rail on turn, angled out 350M, finished off strongly, just beaten by a nose. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 1100 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to allow SATIRICAL FAN to cross. After the event H Bowman stated that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 11, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide into straight, made some progress in the run home.

Bumped shortly after the start. Y L Chung was issued with a warning in relation to using his whip on the horse near the 150 Metres when it was not responding to his riding and out of contention.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Near the 200 Metres WAH MAY WAI WAI improved into a tight run to the inside of STERLING WONGCHOY. A short distance later STERLING WONGCHOY obtained a narrow run to the inside of NORTHERN BEAST (A Atzeni) which then shifted in under riding, resulting in STERLING WONGCHOY being taken in onto WAH MAY WAI WAI and causing SATIRICAL FAN which was giving ground to steady. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. After the event J Orman stated that, in his opinion, the horse may not have appreciated the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin, raced in 2nd, 1/2L back turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place, always just held.

Raced wide and without cover in the early stages. Near the 800 Metres was hampered when taken wider by NORTHERN BEAST which shifted out to improve. The performance of COURIER ALADDIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COURIER ALADDIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
