Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on very well in straight, won by 1-1/4L.

Bumped start, raced better than midfield on outer, 2 lengths or so back, there to turn, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Average to begin, positioned 2-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, checked near 700M, 2 wide from 650M, angled out early in straight, closed off well to take a place.

Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded by TAIHANG SCENERY which shifted in and away slightly from RUBY SAILING (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in when not clear before being corrected. Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded and advised she must ensure that she leaves sufficient racing room for runners to her inside. Approaching the 700 Metres was checked to avoid TAIHANG SCENERY. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the final 150 Metres lay out under pressure.

Taken back from gate 9, raced towards rear on the inside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, commenced move 600M, 3-1/2L back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (Wound to left hind leg) (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event Z Purton reported that his mount did not stretch out during the running of the race and he had some concerns with its action. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a wound to its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, MY FLYING ANGEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear on the outside, 6 lengths or so back, very wide into straight, made some headway in the run home.

Bumped at the start. In the middle stages raced keenly and approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from MY FLYING ANGEL. Near the 250 Metres rider C L Chau dropped his whip.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide at rear, 5 lengths or so back turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared approaching 200M, made some progress thereafter.

After being crossed by RUBY SAILING near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from RUBY SAILING. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, wider turning in, failed to close off in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event K Teetan could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the event A Hamelin reported that his mount raced "flat”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <9/6/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>SPICY SO SMART, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SPICY SO SMART was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W K Mo this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SPICY SO SMART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Fractious in the starting gates and jumped awkwardly, positioned 3 to 4 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Fractious in the starting gates and jumped awkwardly. After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight and had a tendency to shy out away from the inside. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
