Shifted out at the start and was bumped. After the event M Chadwick confirmed that from an inside barrier COOL BLUE was able to hold a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled keenly in the early stages, a length back on turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead approaching 150M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. When being shifted to the outside of COOL BLUE after the 200 Metres made contact with PODIUM. For some distance after the 100 Metres raced tight to the outside of COOL BLUE which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, there to turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 100M, weakened gradually thereafter.

After the event K C Leung reported that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He added WOODFIRE CHAMP did not travel well throughout the event which he attributed to the visors being removed from the horse. He said, in his view, WOODFIRE CHAMP would be better suited by being dropped back in distance and the reapplication of visors. Trainer C W Chang confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 100M.

J Orman was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse that was out of contention and not responding to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
