Moderately away from gate 12, raced 3 wide with no cover, 4 lengths back, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to score.

Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters by THE WAY WE WIN and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.

Fast into stride, raced 2 wide better than midfield, there to turn, showed good response early in straight, led briefly 150M, peaked and headed 75M, weakened thereafter.

Over the concluding stages shifted to the outside of LEATHER MASTER to continue into clear running when LEATHER MASTER shifted out slightly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between JOYFUL CHAMPION and LEATHER MASTER, both of which shifted ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event Z Purton stated that he was satisfied with his horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <24/4/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPER HONG KONG, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SUPER HONG KONG was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER HONG KONG will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Commenced well, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final furlong. (Blood in trachea.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Leaving the 600 Metres made contact with the running rail when racing tight to the inside of APOLAR FIGHTER which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. After the event B Thompson could offer no excuse for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Made contact at start, taken back to race 2 wide at rear, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made some headway in straight.

Slow to begin and shortly after the start was crowded between JOYFUL CHAMPION and STRONGEST BOY. After the event A Hamelin reported that his mount came under pressure near the 700 Metres, changed stride and then commenced to give ground. He said when he felt there was something amiss with his mount he retired it from the event after the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CHILLI BABA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
