Moderately away from a tricky draw, trapped wide in midfield early, taken back 1150M, raced at rear on the outside in the middle stages, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by DEAL COMPLETED which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out in line, raced towards rear on the outside, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made very good progress in straight to take a place, nearest on line.

After the event, H Bowman stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a result he held a handy position with cover when unable to take up a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced 3 wide behind midfield early, 2 wide on turn, angled out 450M, no clear run early in straight, cleared 350M, made good progress thereafter to be nearest on line.

Jumped only fairly. Eased near the 250 Metres when crowded by SPECIAL HEDGE which shifted in.

Jumped awkwardly, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead 1100M, led by a length turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually final 50M. (Jockey dropped whip near 100M.)

Crowded start, raced at rear on the inside, angled out 500M, 6 lengths back turning in, showed some response early in straight, no clear run near 250M, cleared 150M, kept on evenly to the line.

Jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Crowded start, raced towards rear on the inside early, moved a bit closer along the rail after passing 1100M, positioned in midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between FIGHT TIME and MASTER TRILLION. Near the 450 Metres was checked away from HAPPY DAILY.

Moderately away from gate 1, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, a bit closer on turn, finished off well to take 2nd. (See Racing Incidents.)

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide in midfield, difficult to settle for the majority of the race, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail near 800M, saved ground on turn, finished off evenly.

After the event, B Avdulla stated that after being badly held up on the Home Turn and then being crowded to the inside of DEAL COMPLETED near the 450 Metres MISTER DAPPER did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced 3 wide in midfield, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 300M.

Near the 450 Metres MISTER DAPPER (B Avdulla), which was racing keenly, became positioned close to the heels of DEAL COMPLETED when that runner commenced to give ground. When DEAL COMPLETED then shifted out slightly making the Home Turn MISTER DAPPER improved to the inside of that runner and shortly after raced in restricted room between DEAL COMPLETED and THUNDER BLINK which shifted out slightly. A short distance later MISTER DAPPER was then taken to the fence by DEAL COMPLETED, resulting in HAPPY DAILY having to be severely checked and GALE SAGA, which was following HAPPY DAILY, also being checked. As the Stewards were satisfied that B Avdulla had not intentionally positioned his mount to the inside of DEAL COMPLETED and that MISTER DAPPER had improved to the inside of that runner due to it travelling keenly and DEAL COMPLETED initially shifting out as it made the Home Turn, no action was taken. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, trapped 4 wide in midfield, raced 3 wide behind midfield on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

After the event, M Chadwick stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages having its first run for Trainer K L Man.

Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the outside, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. After the event, D McDonogh stated that his instructions were to ride his mount along in the early stages to hold a forward position. The performance of DEAL COMPLETED, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DEAL COMPLETED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
