Incident Report
Sent for sampling post-race.
Began only fairly, raced in midfield on the inside, 2 wide from 350M, finished off well to take a place.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between VON BAER and KARATE EXPRESS, both of which shifted ground slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.
Jumped well, raced 3 wide slightly better than midfield, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.
Incident Report
No report.
Average to begin, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead near 700M, led by 1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.) (Blood in trachea.)
Incident Report
No report.
Moderately away from a wide draw, raced at rear, 5 lengths or so back turning in, made no progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
No report.
Shifted out at start, positioned 1 out 1 back, wider turning in, finished off strongly to score by a head.
Incident Report
Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Made contact at start, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, there to turn, took the lead 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 50M, just beaten by a head.
Incident Report
After the event, H Bentley stated that the intention was to hold a slightly more forward position but despite riding his mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to do so. He added that after being held up between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres RUN RUN TIMING finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made good progress early in straight, no extra final 100M.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly.
Away well, raced 2 wide in midfield, angled out 350M, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.
Incident Report
Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after the start became badly unbalanced, got its head up and lost ground after being contacted on the hindquarters.
Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on outer, 5 lengths or so back turning in, made minor progress in straight.
Incident Report
When questioned, R Kingscote stated that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said after jumping awkwardly and being badly crowded by SPICY SO SMART which shifted out abruptly, his mount lost ground. He said having regard to his instructions he allowed KING ALLOY to go forward in the early stages and entering the Back Straight his intention was to endeavour to cross CHAMPION METHOD. He said when his mount failed to show sufficient pace to do so it was left racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. R Kingscote agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect he would have been better suited by riding his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages after receiving interference at the start.
Slowly away, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.
Incident Report
Near the 750 Metres shifted in towards GLORY B and shortly after was steadied away from that runner when GLORY B shifted out slightly. After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover until near the 500 Metres and raced a little keenly with blinkers being applied for the second time. He added CHAMPION METHOD may be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
