Began only fairly and crowded, raced at rear on the inside, 6 lengths back turning in, made little progress in straight.

Jumped only fairy and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground throughout, kept on well in straight to take 2nd.

Leaving the 500 Metres was checked to avoid ARTHUR’S KINGDOM when that runner was giving ground quickly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced towards rear on the outside, moved closer after passing 600M, 2 lengths back turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 700 Metres was steadied away from DRAGON DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

When questioned, K Teetan stated that his instructions were to ensure that his mount led the event. He said as a result he rode his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions. He said after making the first turn near the 1200 Metres, whilst he was aware the pace of the event was being run inside of standard time, when DRAGON STAR was pressured by ARTHUR’S KINGDOM, this resulted in the pace of the race being run at a quicker tempo than he would have liked. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions were to lead on the horse.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping, raced at rear, 5 lengths back turning in, very wide into straight, made some progress in the run home.

After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount did not run out the 1800 Metres due to the pace of the race being run inside of standard time during the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small laceration to the right hind leg.

Made contact shortly after start, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, saved ground throughout, hit the front 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Near the 250 Metres was taken wider by CHARITY GAIN which shifted out to improve.

Shifted out at start and bumped, raced prominently, took the lead near 900M, led by 3/4L turning in, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened final furlong.

After the event, L Ferraris reported that the instructions were to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages.

Began well from a wide draw, positioned 2 wide, a length or so back, 3 wide from 500M, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

When questioned, H T Mo stated that his instructions were to lead on the rail as ARTHUR’S KINGDOM has a tendency to hang in and races best when able to find the rail. He said in the early stages when caught wide he was obliged to make use of his mount to cross runners to his inside but was able to obtain a position outside DRAGON STAR near the 1200 Metres. When questioned regarding his riding between the 1200 Metres and the 900 Metres, H T Mo stated that ARTHUR’S KINGDOM hung in through that section of the race and as a result he was obliged to encourage his mount forward to maintain a position one-off the rail. He said near the 800 Metres ARTHUR’S KINGDOM came under pressure before giving ground noticeably thereafter. The Stewards advised Jockey Mo that in the circumstances he had made an error between the 1200 Metres and the 900 Metres by continuing to encourage his mount forward after having to make use of it in the early stages to cross runners to his inside. Trainer Y S Tsui confirmed the instructions were to lead on the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ARTHUR’S KINGDOM, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ARTHUR’S KINGDOM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
