Quickly into stride, took the early lead, headed approaching 900M, 2nd on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
On jumping was badly crowded for room. Near the 1300 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid PHANTOM CYCLONE. As a result, THE AZURE shifted out and made contact with GOLDEN DARCI. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home.

Incident Report
After the event, L Hewitson reported that his mount lay in when under pressure in the Home Straight and as a result proved difficult to ride out to the finish of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Incident Report
Lay in in the Home Straight and over the concluding stages shifted in, resulting in its rider M F Poon having to stop riding with the whip approaching the winning post to straighten his mount. After the event, M F Poon stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions issued.

Bumped start, raced 3 wide in midfield early, 2 wide from 900M, 3 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Incident Report
Shifted in abruptly on jumping and made heavy contact with AMAZING AWARD. Near the 1300 Metres was momentarily crowded between YOU’REMYEVERYTHING and AMAZING AWARD, both of which shifted ground slightly.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 4 lengths or so back, there to turn, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping was severely checked when crowded by LUCKY TOUCH which ran in despite the efforts of its rider.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead approaching 900M, led by 3/4L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

On jumping raced tight to the inside of PHANTOM CYCLONE which shifted in and as a result made contact with GALE SAGA. Raced keenly in the early stages.

Made contact at start, raced towards rear on the outside, 5 lengths back, very wide into straight, finished off well to make frame without threatening.

Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Bumped near the 1300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced behind midfield on the inside, 4 lengths or so back, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 150 Metres raced tight between HARMONY GALAXY and GOLDEN DARCI which shifted out and away from LUCKY TOUCH. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Away with them, raced in 3rd, 2 wide, same position on turn, hit the front 200M, kept on strongly to the line, won by 2 lengths.

After the event, B Avdulla stated that the intention was to hold a slightly more forward position but when runners to his inside showed superior pace in the early stages he was obliged to settle a little further back. He said in the Home Straight GOOD GOOD finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Was kicked by another runner when proceeding to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Bumped on jumping. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made very good progress in straight to take a place, nearest finish. (See Racing Incidents.)
