Away with them, raced in 3rd, 2 wide, same position on turn, hit the front 200M, kept on strongly to the line, won by 2 lengths.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made very good progress in straight to take a place, nearest finish. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was steadied to avoid CIRCUIT TEN which shifted out when being corrected by its rider. EVER SMART was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. On the Home Turn was briefly held up for clear running. After the event, H Bowman reported that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a midfield position. He said after jumping only fairly and then being crowded shortly after the start EVER SMART raced further back in the field than intended.

Made contact at start, raced towards rear on the outside, 5 lengths back, very wide into straight, finished off well to make frame without threatening.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by CIRCUIT TEN which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and shifted in. Approaching the 300 Metres was briefly held up for clear running. After the event, B Avdulla reported that with the hood and pacifiers being removed tonight, CIRCUIT TEN raced too keenly. He said, in his opinion, CIRCUIT TEN would be better suited by being taken back in distance and the hood and pacifiers being reapplied to the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead approaching 900M, led by 3/4L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Approaching the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded between SPEEDY CHARIOT and E GLORY, both of which shifted ground slightly. After the event, M F Poon stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after being bumped shortly after the start settled further back than anticipated.

Moderately away, raced behind midfield on the inside, 4 lengths or so back, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.

After the 600 Metres was checked when momentarily crowded by WINNING HEART (H Bentley) which shifted in quickly before being corrected by its rider. H Bentley was advised to exercise more care.

Quickly into stride, took the early lead, headed approaching 900M, 2nd on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After FAIRY HORSE became fractious, HERO STAR which was in the adjoining stall, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

After being loaded into the starting gates became fractious, reared and got both front legs over the front of the gates. Acting on veterinary advice that FAIRY HORSE was not suitable to race the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. The Stewards ruled that FAIRY HORSE will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in consecutive barrier trials and being subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
