After the event, M L Yeung reported that his instructions from the outside barrier were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer K L Man confirmed the instructions issued.

Made contact at start, raced towards rear, 5 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home, nearest finish.

After the event, C Y Ho reported that approaching the finish his mount shifted out when it shied at the winning post, resulting in him having to stop riding, straighten his mount and being unable to ride it out to the finish.

Slowly away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, commenced move 500M, very wide into straight, kept on same pace in straight.

After the event, Z Purton reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to go forward. He said with CIRCUIT DUFFY carrying an additional 6 lbs tonight, it was not able to finish the race off strongly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Over the concluding stages was steadied when BRAVE JOY shifted out. After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount hung in throughout the event.

Began well, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Near the 200 Metres was bumped by UNISON which shifted out. After the event, J McDonald could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. Trainer C S Shum stated that he had been pleased with the horse since its last start win on 20 November 2024 and added that YEE CHEONG SPIRIT may have been disadvantaged by settling back in the field with the pace in the middle stages being run slightly outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of YEE CHEONG SPIRIT was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, YEE CHEONG SPIRIT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped awkwardly. Shifted out near the 200 Metres and was bumped. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the event, M F Poon stated that he had some concerns with his mount’s action during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
