Began awkwardly and made contact, taken back to race at tail, 4 to 5 lengths back on turn, finished off very strongly to score. (A cut to the right front leg.)

Apprentice E C W Wong, who weighed in at 115 lbs, was fined the sum of $3,000 for returning to scale 2 lbs overweight. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions were to ride DRAGON DELIGHT with cover. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 300 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Near the 100 Metres was disappointed for clear running between DRAGON STAR and DRAGON DELIGHT and was then shifted to the outside of DRAGON DELIGHT where it raced tight over the concluding stages to the inside of FLYING SILVER.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide, 3 lengths or so back, peaked on run 400M, weakened early in straight. (Roarer.)

After the event, B Thompson reported that his mount began well today and as a result settled in a more forward position than its previous race starts. He said, in his opinion, COURIER MAGIC did not run out the 1800 Metres of tonight’s event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Shortly after the start shifted in and away from SATIRICAL GLORY and bumped NORTHERN BEAST.

Began fairly and made contact, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, same position on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after was steadied away from KINGLY DEMEANOR which shifted out slightly. After the event, L Ferraris reported that soon after the 300 Metres his mount hung in and as a result made contact with ME TIME which shifted out slightly.

Made contact at start, raced towards rear, 5 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home, nearest finish.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, SATIRICAL GLORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
