Bumped start, positioned 2 wide, 5 lengths or so back, commenced move 400M, showed very good response in straight, hit the front 150M, kept on very well to the line and scored.

When questioned, W Buick stated that in the Home Straight his mount felt awkward in its action when he placed it under pressure but finished the race off reasonably well. Notwithstanding this advice, W Buick was advised that, wherever possible, he should ensure that he continues to ride his mounts out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 350M, no clear run early in straight, made minor progress thereafter.

Over the final 300 Metres was held up and did not obtain clear running.

Bumped start, raced in midfield on the inside, 3-1/2L back, 2 wide from 400M, no clear run early in straight, cleared 200M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Bumped on jumping. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind GIANT LEAP. After being shifted to the outside of GIANT LEAP, CHATEAUNEUF then became held up for clear running between the 150 Metres and the 100 Metres where it obtained a narrow run to the inside of LUCKY EIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Reared as stalls opened and lost ground, raced at rear on the inside, 6 lengths or so back on turn, angled out 350M, very wide into straight, bumped 300M, finished off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Bumped on jumping. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running between GIANT LEAP and LUCKY EIGHT. Over the final 100 Metres lay in when racing tight between LUCKY EIGHT and SUPER JOY N FUN.

Shortly after the start was bumped and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, commenced move 450M, very wide into straight, finished off strongly to take 2nd.

When questioned, R Moore stated that over the concluding stages he had some concerns with the action of his mount and for this reason he did not fully ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 lengths or so back, 3 wide turning in, not enough room near 250M, ran on evenly thereafter.

After the event, Z Purton stated that, in his opinion, GIANT LEAP did not appreciate the step-up to Class 3. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
