Sent for sampling post-race.

Slightly slow out and crowded, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied away from VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place, always held.

When questioned regarding his riding in the early part of the Home Straight and the reason he did not apply full pressure to his mount until near the 200 Metres, Z Purton stated that at its last race start Trainer J Richards was of the opinion that the horse lacked concentration when it was in the lead soon after straightening. He said tonight he was issued with the instruction not to place his mount under full pressure too soon in an attempt to have MA COMET finish the race off in a strong manner. He said in accordance with those instructions he remained racing behind NOTTHESILLYONE until near the 200 Metres where he then placed his mount under full pressure. He further stated that, in his opinion, once MA COMET improved into the lead it once again lacked concentration and did not fully respond to his riding over the concluding stages. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions and expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Jockey Purton had ridden MA COMET. He added that he would now apply blinkers to MA COMET for its next race start to assist with its concentration over the concluding stages.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out, was bumped and became unbalanced.

Made contact at start, raced in 3rd, saved ground throughout, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start was badly crowded between HAPPY HORSE which jumped awkwardly and shifted out and SIGHT HAPPY which shifted in. In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.

Began fairly, raced 2 wide towards rear, moved a bit closer after passing 800M, 3 lengths back on turn but 4 wide, weakened early in straight, eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Taken back from gate 9, raced at rear, 11 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 650M, 3 to 4 lengths back turning in, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a head. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began fairly, raced in 4th, 2 wide, 7 lengths back in the middle stages, closer on turn, kept on same pace in straight.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded between HAPPY TANGO and HAPPY HORSE.

Shifted in at start and made contact, sent forward to take the lead, went clear halfway, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well to hold off the challengers.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground, raced at rear, 5 lengths back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Jumped awkwardly. Passing the 50 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between HAPPY TANGO and CIRCUIT SEVEN which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. After the event, C Y Ho reported that his mount raced greenly during the race and in the Home Straight proved difficult to ride out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Fast into stride, raced in 2nd, 4 lengths back in the middle stages, closer on turn, 1-1/4L back at 400M, kept on well in straight, inconvenienced near 50M, ran on evenly thereafter.

Shifted in on jumping and became unbalanced when it made contact with CIRCUS REEL. In the middle stages making the turn lay out. When commencing to finish the race off well approaching the 50 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between HAPPY TANGO and HAPPY HORSE which shifted out and away from CHAMPION METHOD. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
