Incident Report
K Teetan was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 150 Metres (see GOOD VIEW GLORY). Sent for sampling post-race.
Bumped start, raced in midfield on the outside, no cover for the majority of the race, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.
Incident Report
Bumped at the start. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. C Y Ho was warned in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner. Sent for sampling post-race.
Jumped well, raced in 3rd, 2 wide, same position on turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead 100M, kept on well but unable to hold off the first two close home.
Incident Report
Sent for sampling post-race.
Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping and lost ground, raced at tail, 8 lengths back turning in, made very good progress in straight to make frame.
Incident Report
Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping and lost ground. Approaching the 200 Metres was directed to the inside of TATTENHAM to continue into clear running.
Moderately away, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, no clear run near 150M, cleared 75M, ran on evenly, short of run close home.
Incident Report
For some distance after the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between COUNTRY DANCER and COSMO NAVIGATOR. Passing the winning post was checked when crowded by COSMO NAVIGATOR (Y L Chung) which, after initially shifting in, was then taken in by VULCANUS (C Y Ho) which was racing tight to the inside of SPEEDSTAR (K Teetan) which shifted in. Jockeys Chung, Ho and Teetan were advised in similar circumstances they would be expected to stop riding and straighten their mounts.
Away well, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run in straight.
Incident Report
Approaching the 100 Metres endeavoured to obtain a tight run between COSMO NAVIGATOR and VULCANUS. A short distance later, VULCANUS (C Y Ho) shifted in and crowded the running of TATTENHAM, resulting in TATTENHAM having to be steadied and not being able to be ridden out to the finish of the event. C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised that he must stop riding and straighten his mounts.
Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, there to turn, kept on well in straight without threatening.
Incident Report
No report.
Shifted in at start and bumped, raced 2 wide towards rear, similar position on turn, no clear run until final 100M, finished off evenly.
Incident Report
Jumped awkwardly, shifted in, bumped with COUNTRY DANCER and became unbalanced. Was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. K Teetan (SPEEDSTAR) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 150 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of GOOD VIEW GLORY, resulting in GOOD VIEW GLORY losing its running and being checked to avoid the heels of SPEEDSTAR. K Teetan was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 27 November 2024 and to expire on Monday, 2 December 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.
Bumped start, raced towards rear on the outside, very wide into straight, made some progress in the run home.
Incident Report
Jumped only fairly, shortly after shifted in and made contact with GOOD VIEW GLORY. Was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier.
Crowded start, raced in midfield on the outside early, moved closer from 1100M, positioned 2nd in the middle stages, kept on well early in straight, took the lead 150M, headed 100M, weakened quickly thereafter.
Incident Report
Bumped at the start. Near the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded by URBAN TRIUMPH (K C Leung) which, after improving into a tight run to the inside of COSMO NAVIGATOR, was then taken in slightly by that runner. K C Leung was advised to exercise more care and to ensure there is sufficient racing room when he is improving into runs. When questioned, Z Purton stated that from an outside barrier he was requested to ensure that his mount began well and use the horse’s pace if circumstances permitted. He said after jumping well he was able to obtain a position outside the leader HERO STAR but COUNTRY DANCER raced keenly in the middle stages and as a result was left without a finishing effort. Trainer J Size confirmed the instructions issued and agreed with the assessment of Jockey Purton that COUNTRY DANCER raced too keenly during the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Began well from gate 1, raced towards rear on the inside, 8 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
