Slightly inconvenienced at start, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, showed limited response early in straight, not enough room near 200M, ran on evenly to the line. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 300 Metres raced tight between GREAT STATE which shifted out slightly and GOKO WIN which shifted in and made contact with SUPER INFINITY. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 wide from 500M, kept on well in straight to make frame without threatening.

Jumped awkwardly. After the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from SUPER INFINITY. Had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance near the 400 Metres when positioned to the inside of GREAT STATE. Approaching the 300 Metres again had some difficulty obtaining clear running behind I GIVE.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some headway in straight.

Began well from a wide draw, raced prominently on the outside, challenged the leader turning in, peaked on run 250M, weakened gradually inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for a short distance for clear running behind PACKING HERMOD.

Bumped start, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually thereafter.

When questioned, M Chadwick stated that the intention was to find a position with cover. He said when GOKO WIN commenced well today and was in advance of a number of runners to his inside, he elected to ride GOKO WIN forward to avoid racing wide. He said as a consequence GOKO WIN settled more forward than what was anticipated.

Crowded leaving the 1000 Metres. Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.

Away well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Was positioned in the starting gate next to YOUNG SUPERSTAR when that runner became fractious, was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded between ARMOUR WAR EAGLE and MAGNIFICENT NINE which was taken in by DASHING DRAGON (B Thompson) which, after initially shifting in and away from GOKO WIN (M Chadwick), then raced tight to the inside of that runner. Both B Thompson and M Chadwick were reprimanded.

Taken back from gate 12, raced in midfield on outer, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked and crowded early in straight, weakened gradually thereafter.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away from gate 11, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide turning in, finished off evenly.

Began fairly, raced 2 wide at rear, angled out 650M, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home to take 2nd, no threat to the winner. (See Racing Incidents.)

Became fractious in the barriers, lunged forward and got its head under the front starting gate. Then became cast for a short time underneath the starting stalls before being removed. Acting on veterinary advice that YOUNG SUPERSTAR was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG SUPERSTAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
