Tightened at start settling in rear on rail and waited with, obtained a clear run near the centre of the track over 150M out, quickened well to snatch victory close to home.

C Y Ho reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to obtain cover. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkward but soon in first few settling over 2L back in 4th 2-wide, came under pressure from 500M out swinging wide into straight, ran on steadily under pressure to hold every only to be outsprinted late.

Bumped at start, unable to shift near the rail until taken back to rear 2-wide approaching the winning post the first time, remained towards rear to straight, tightened badly inside the 150M, never nearer.

On jumping was bumped by FORTUNATE SON which shifted out. Bumped approaching the 150 Metres. Over the final 150 Metres raced tight between A AMERIC TE SPECSO and SUPER UNICORN which shifted in.

Settled in midfield in 6th within 5L off the pace, went wide for a run into straight but could only run home one-paced.

Near the 300 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FORTUNATE SON and was shifted to the outside of FORTUNATE SON to secure clear running.

Settled in last few on rail, switched out early in home straight but soon ran out of room inside the 200M, made no impression thereafter.

Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of NOISY BOY to continue into clear running and made slight contact with FALLON. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Prominent from a poor draw settling one back 2-wide in 2nd, soon weakened after straightening.

M F Poon stated that the instructions were to go forward but to obtain cover. He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to go forward to race outside the lead and, in his opinion, the horse was not suited when unable to obtain cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Gradually settled at the back from a wide barrier, detached from over 500M out.
