At the winning post was bumped by STAR CONTACT which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

K Teetan pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the 1400 Metres (see ROCKET SPADE). Shifted in at the winning post and made contact with I CAN. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on rail early, dropped to midfield in the middle stages, saved ground throughout, kept on well early in straight, weakened final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

K Teetan (STAR CONTACT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of ROMANTIC LAOS, resulting in ROMANTIC LAOS being taken in across the running of ROCKET SPADE, causing ROCKET SPADE to check to avoid the heels of ROMANTIC LAOS. K Teetan was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.

Taken back to race at rear on the inside, moved a bit closer after passing 800M, 3 to 4 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 550M, very wide turning in, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Taken back to race at rear on the outside, 5 lengths back, found rail near 550M, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began smartly, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, 3/4L back turning in, finished off well to score by a head.

After the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of STAR CONTACT to continue into clear running.

Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, headed near 700M, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on turn, finished off evenly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Reared as stalls opened and started slowly, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide after entering the back straight, 4 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start by ROCKET SPADE. Approaching the 200 Metres L Hewitson dropped his left rein for a number of strides. Lay in in the Home Straight.

Began only fairly, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3 lengths or so back, commenced move 800M, took the lead near 700M, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Crowded approaching the 1400 Metres. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Very slow to begin. The barrier manners of BEATO were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BEATO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn.

After being crossed by SILVER KING passing the 1100 Metres commenced to race keenly and continued to do so in the middle stages.
