Bumped shortly after start, taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide from 850M, moved a bit closer in the middle stages, 2-1/2L back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd.

Lay in making the first turn and made contact with SPICY GOLD. Approaching the 100 Metres raced in restricted room between METRO POWER and PEGAS.

Lay in in the Home Straight. Over the concluding stages was awkwardly placed near STORMING DRAGON when it continued to lay in. As a consequence LUCKY PLANET could not be ridden out to the finish of the race. M F Poon stated that the instructions were to go forward and lead if possible. He said LUCKY PLANET was standing awkwardly in the starting gates and as a result was slow to begin. He said this resulted in LUCKY PLANET settling further back in the field than intended.

Began well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, peaked 200M, weakened final 50M.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide from 600M, challenged the leaders turning in, took the lead approaching 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

A Badel stated that from the outside barrier he was obliged to settle further back in the field. He said in the Home Straight his mount found it difficult to make up ground from that position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away well, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rivals turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened final 50M.

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of the starting gate and became unbalanced. SPICY GOLD then shifted out and made contact with STORMING DRAGON. Making the first turn passing the 1100 Metres raced tight to the inside of WINGS OF WAR which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. D B McMonagle stated that the horse failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and could not offer any explanation for the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
