Began well, raced 3 wide behind midfield early, 2 wide from 700M, angled out 400M, very wide turning in, made very good progress in straight to be nearest on line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid GREAT LEGACY when that runner was giving ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped at the start. M L Yeung was reprimanded for using the whip on consecutive occasions in 2 consecutive strides near the 200 Metres.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, travelled keenly in the early stages, found rail near 700M, saved ground on turn, made some progress in straight, no threat to the first few.

Approaching the 1500 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between JOYFUL PROSPERITY and NOBLE PURSUIT which shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bowman. H Doyle reported that the intention was to hold a forward position but her mount jumped only fairly and then did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, 3/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide at rear, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress early in straight, blocked approaching 150M, cleared 100M, finished off well to take a place.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Over the final 250 Metres was badly held up for clear running and as a consequence could not be ridden out to the finish.

Slowly away, raced at tail, 8 lengths back, same margin back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Bumped at the start. C L Chau stated that his mount, which was stepping up to the 1650 Metres tonight, would derive a benefit from tonight’s experience. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 450M, 3 lengths or so back turning in, finished off very strongly to score.

Jumped only fairly, shifted out and was then steadied to avoid FUN TOGETHER when that runner shifted in slightly. Near the 350 Metres raced tight to the inside of GREAT LEGACY when that runner shifted in slightly whilst giving ground.

Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed no response early in straight, eased final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped at the start. M F Poon reported that he was given no specific instruction but when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow his mount to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of GREAT LEGACY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT LEGACY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
