Jumped with them, raced 3 wide, a length or so back, 2 wide on turn, hit the front 300M, peaked and headed 50M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 100 Metres shifted in and made slight contact with GIAVELLOTTO. D B McMonagle was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height near the 200 Metres.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear, 6 lengths or so back turning in, no clear run early in straight, found daylight 150M, finished off well to take 2nd.

After travelling a short distance got its head up and became unbalanced when being steadied to allow GOLIATH to cross. In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1700 Metres was steadied to avoid GOLIATH. H Bowman stated that he was instructed to ride the horse in a more conservative manner today to attempt to have the horse run out a strong 2400 Metres. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions issued.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide after passing 700M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, dropped towards rear 600M, 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 300M.

In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 2100 Metres was steadied away from GIAVELLOTTO. C Lemaire reported that the horse raced too keenly throughout the early and middle stages of the event and as a result when caught wide he was obliged to allow URBAN CHIC to stride forward from the 1800 Metres to avoid covering additional ground. He said because of the manner in which the horse raced throughout the early and middle stages it was not able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Reared as stalls open, missed break, raced at tail, 9 lengths back, still well back on turn, weakened early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.) (Irregular heart rhythm.)

O Murphy reported that the horse travelled comfortably in the early stages. He said when URBAN CHIC improved to his outside near the 1100 Metres his mount did not travel well thereafter before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
