Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear, 5 to 6 lengths back turning in, made some progress early in straight, no extra final 150M.

After travelling a short distance shifted out and made contact with MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, positioned 2 wide, 4 lengths or so back, same margin back turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

Bumped on jumping and then after travelling a short distance became unbalanced when it again bumped with MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, raced 3 wide in midfield, 3 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

Jumped with them, sent forward to take the lead, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on very well in straight, just held on.

Bumped at the start. In the Home Straight hung in and for some distance approaching the 200 Metres proved reluctant to shift to the outside of TALENTS SUPREMO.

Moderately away from a wide draw, unable to slot in, trapped wide with no cover, 2 lengths or so back, dropped towards rear after passing 550M, emptied early in straight, eased thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to RIDING HIGH.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at tail, 9 lengths or so back in the middle stages, commenced move 400M, 6 lengths back turning in, taken wide in straight and finished off strongly to make frame, nearest finish.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with GOOD PROSPECT. In the early stages raced ungenerously and got its head up. For some distance near the 1000 Metres HAPPY BOYS became unbalanced when its rider L Hewitson was endeavouring to obtain a position with cover behind CHILL MASTER. HAPPY BOYS then refused to settle in the middle stages and continued to race ungenerously. For a short distance near the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of GOOD PROSPECT.

Made contact at start, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run early in straight, cleared 200M, finished off well to take a place.

Near the 900 Metres was bumped by NOBLE DELUXE which shifted in and away from BEAUTY FORMULA, resulting in TALENTS SUPREMO then racing keenly when being steadied to avoid MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Over the concluding stages lay in and away from GOOD PROSPECT and as a consequence could not be fully tested to the finish of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out in line, positioned 2 wide slightly better than midfield, peaked 350M, weakened gradually in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping shifted out, made contact with RIDING HIGH and became unbalanced. After travelling a short distance MAJESTIC DELIGHT was then steadied when crowded between DOUBLE BINGO which shifted out slightly and RIDING HIGH which shifted in after being bumped by MAJESTIC DELIGHT.

Shifted in at start, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied to avoid GOOD PROSPECT. RICH HORSE continued to race keenly in the middle stages.

Average to begin, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, there to turn, peaked on run 200M, weakened final 100M.

Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no excuse for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back to race behind midfield on the outside, commenced move approaching 400M, 5 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Y L Chung reported that his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover until near the 600 Metres but was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, same position on turn, kept on well until approaching final 50M, weakened thereafter.

J McDonald reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added despite the wide run NOBLE DELUXE gave ground quickly in the Home Straight and he felt there may be something amiss with the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NOBLE DELUXE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE DELUXE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
