SNITZEL, the son of Australia famous sire REDOUTE'S CHOICE, was trained by Gerald Ryan with a record of 7 wins, 1 second and 3 thirds in 15 starts including G1 Oakleigh Plate with Craig Newitt on board. He performed his stud duties for a short period of time in Japan before stationed in Australia. He was welcomed by a lot of breeders since most of the same sire runners are precocious and he became an Australian champion sire in 2017 to 2020 with 175 runners had won the black type contests, including TRAPEZE ARTIST, multiple G1 winners who has just joined the stallion roster, and REDZEL, two-time champion of The Everest and another two-time G1 winner. SNITZEL has been passed away in June, 2025 at age 22. SOLID STATE was formerly known as UNITED STATES was owned by Coolmore & Partners and trained by Chris Waller in Australia with 1 second in 7 starts. He finished 2nd on his debut in a 2YO 1000M race by coming from rear under Kerrin McEvoy at Randwick. After finishing seventh in the Lonhro Plate in next outing, he made three unsuccessful attempts at group level. Following a brief spell, he returned as a 3YO to contest lower-class handicaps twice, finishing fourth on both occasions and failing to break his maiden. His sire SNITZEL is a former champion Australian sire while his dam WARRANTY was only a listed race placegetter. His yearling price at AUD$ 1,750,000 may have been an overpayment and his racing record in Australia certainly did not live up to that astronomical price tag. The bay gelding should be most suited from 1200M to 1600M.
