TORONADO, a son of HIGH CHAPARRAL and the former Al Shaqab Racing runner, with a record of 6 wins and 3 seconds in 12 starts while Richard Hughes as his regular jockey, winning distance from 1300M to 1600M. He remained unbeaten when he was 2 until being ran down by DAWN APPROACH in 2000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes under the care of Richard Hannon Sr., but he fought back in Sussex Stakes afterwards. He landed Queen Anne Stakes for trainer Richard Hannon as a 5YO. After that, he made his move to Breeders' Cup Mile but failed. He entered stud in 2015, 50 runners of him won the black type contests, HK representatives found The Centenary Sprint Cup winner VICTOR THE WINNER and two Hong Kong Classic Mile winners HELIOS EXPRESS and LITTLE PARADISE. His service fee in 2026 is AUD$ 88,000. MASSIVE REWARD has been owned by current owner Mr. Chan Kam Hung in Australia and trained by Matthew Smith. He took part in 2 barrier trials where he settled at rear and ran on for 4th without being asked in a 786M section (4th Sept 2025) on soft going, then settled at rear early and ran on one-paced when asked late for 5th in a 900M trial (23rd Sept 2025) on soft going. His dam REWARD FOR GLORY won at 1600M while his full-sister CELTIC GLORY got her sole success at 2000M and half-sister HIGHLAND GLORY collected 3 wins at 2200M. The bay gelding should be most suited 1600M or farther.
