STAR WITNESS was trained by Danny O'Brien with a record of 4 wins, 2 seconds and 3 thirds in 13 starts. He won three races in a row including the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes with Nicholas Hall on board in 2YO and scored in the G1 Ascot Vale Stakes (Coolmore Stud Stakes) at the age of 3. He made his footprints in Great Britain as well while placing 2nd in the G1 King's Stand Stakes and 3rd in the G1 Golden Jubilee Stakes. After failed in the G1 July Cup, he retired from racing and started his stud life at Widden Stud in 2011. Up to now, 25 runners won the black type contests and he was removed from his stud farm's active stallion roster in 2026. JOLLY BONUS was passed in after failing to meet his reserve price at AUD$ 100,000 in 2024 Inglis Ready2Race Sale where he finished 200M breeze up in 11.22s. He was trained by Matthew Hoysted in Australia and took part in an 840M trial (9th Sept 2025) where he tracked the leader in second place and shaken up slightly in the straight to win on good going at Doomben. Same sire runners in HK excel at Happy Valley. His dam IMPULSIVE DREAM was a 1000M winner herself and also finished second in G2 Queensland Turf Club Sires' Produce Stakes while her three winning foals have won up to middle distances. Although most of JOLLY BONUS’s half-siblings possess miler stamina, their sires were SAVABEEL or SHAMUS AWARD, while he was sired by sprint stallion STAR WITNESS theta he should be most suited from 1000M to 1400M and no issue at Happy Valley.
